Aging and Structural Change
Many studies analyzed in depth how aging affects aggregate economic performance. But analyses of these effects on the employment structure are scarce and they do not consider that consumption patterns, the supply of goods and services, and also sectoral labor productivity are all likely to adjust to aging and will change. Hence, regression analysis of sectoral employment shares is proposed that...
متن کاملSome Optimal Codes as Tanner Codes with BCH Component Codes
In this paper we study a class of graph codes with BCH component codes as affine variety codes. We are able to find some optimal binary and ternary codes as Tanner codes with BCH component codes. We choose a special subgraph of the point-line incidence plane of P(2, q) as the Tanner graph, and we are able to describe the codes using Gröbner basis.
متن کاملValidating Astrophysical Simulation Codes
in astrophysics necessarily involves the development of models and simulation technology to help us understand the complex phenomena underlying astrophysical events. As with any modeling approach, numerical models and simulation codes developed for astrophysical applications must be thoroughly verified and validated to demonstrate their accuracy and assess their credibility. Although verificati...
متن کاملGood LDPC Codes based on Very Simple Component Codes
We describe a novel approach for designing lowdensity parity-check (LDPC) codes based on a particular class of very simple component codes, that are a generalization of single parity-check (SPC) codes. The proposed method allows the design of LDPC codes with good performance while requiring encoder circuits with easy implementation. In addition, the proposed technique permits us to obtain rate-...

Composability, the capability to select and assemble offthe-shelf model components in various combinations to satisfy user requirements, is an appealing approach in reducing the time and costs of developing complex simulation. This paper discusses CODES, a hierarchical component framework to support component-based modeling and simulation. We propose the use of EBNF based grammars to specify sy...
